What happens when carbon fiber frames get really old?

We had a customer in looking for a lugged steel frame this Sunday.  In the course of our conversation he mentioned a common concern regarding carbon fiber frames, to whit:  he didn't like their short fatigue life.  Carbon fiber frames do not fatigue.  In fact:  not only do carbon fiber frames not fatigue, but the resins used in their manufacture are, when properly cured, effectively inert.   Short of the effects due to poor manufacture or design,  a physical insult or attack by chemicals such as acetone carbon frames don't wear out.   Ride your carbon frame with confidence.  Ride like a zephyr.
